Today I’m going to review my new favourite mascara, Loréal’s Miss Manga!
As you may all know by now, I don’t have long, curly lashes to create that perfect doe-eyed Cheryl look so I’m always hunting for a mascara that lengthens, darkens and defines my otherwise boring lashes.
So, Loréal have always made awesome mascaras (among their other brilliant products that I’ve used religiously in the past) and I always find myself checking out their latest creations – in particular Colossal Cat Eye. I actually came across this one on IG on another blogger who took pictures of her results and I was amazed!
The brush is surprisingly flexible so it slightly bends as you apply to reach every last inch of the lash. It also seems longer than most standard brushes so you don’t miss any lashes when you apply, thankfully avoiding the dreaded overapplication on already coated lashes when trying to reach those that weren’t covered in the first place. Perfect for avoiding clumps!
To test, I applied one quick coat – I needed to see the results I’d get on an average morning, if I even had time to apply mascara. Of course I curled my lashes first, it defines and enhances lashes before mascara helping them to sit visibly as above. I loved the results from one quick coat, a wiggle up and down and done. The length is extreme, as the name suggests, almost cartoon like and can be achieved easily and quickly, so important for anyone constantly on the run.
The consistency of the mascara is just right, too, not so thick that it clumps lashes together and just dark enough to help the lashes stand out, in a natural enough way. I hate mascaras that are so dark you look like you’re wearing falsies.
Overall, I’ll be sticking with this mascara. It gives super length with minimal effort. The presentation is gorgeous and the brush is practical. Go and get this, now!
