I haven’t been makeup shopping recently, or any shopping to be honest. I recently got car insurance so along with it being expensive, I’m spending the days I used to go shopping getting some driving practice! I did pick up this palette one lunch break last week and you all know I love Makeup Revolution so I knew the quality would be amazing, I hadn’t rushed to buy this palette because, to be fair I already have way too many palettes and I wasn’t sure if I’d get much use out of the colours.
I got this palette as a present for someone recently and when I seen the pigmentation in person (and some fab makeup shots over on Instagram) the colours became a lot more wearable. The thing I love most about Makeup Revolution is how affordable their range is, most palettes come in under the €10 mark and everything is under €20. You can’t go wrong!
The ‘New-Tral’ shade is absolutely stunning blended into the crease, it looks especially vivid on blue eyes. I used 6 shades to create this look: Adapt, New-Tral, Tone, Suit, Mode and Partial. I know 6 shades sounds like a lot of effort but it was really quick and easy.
Start by applying ‘Adapt’ all over the lid, buffing into the crease to create a darker shade there. Take ‘New-Tral’ and blend into the outer V of the crease, build as much as you like for a deeper red. Use ‘Tone’ on the outer V of the lid, blending up to the crease. You could take this all the way out and under the eyes for a red-purple eye but I used ‘Suit’ for a dark smoky finish. I then used the shimmer shades, ‘Mode’ on the inner corner and up toward the centre of the lid and simply used ‘Partial’ to blend into the purple.
So there’s a simple but flattering smoky eye to get you started with your New-Trals vs Neutrals palette, and for a bargain. If there’s any looks you’ve created with this palette that I must try let me know in the comments!
