Hello Readers,
You all know by now that I’m a big fan of SOSU by SJ products, I’ve gotten a lot of her releases over the last couple of years and I always find the quality brilliant at such a reasonable price! I also love that you’re supporting a good quality Irish brand.
I’ll be honest and say I didn’t think I’d be too bothered with the Sunset Trio Palette simply because I already have a good few contour and highlighter palettes (including the SOSU palettes released a few years ago!) I’m also not a huge fan of blush. I ended up deciding to buy it simply because the colours looked so natural and understated and I thought it’d be a really handy little palette to have for nights out and travelling, the price was also a huge selling point once I’d seen the positive reviews coming in – only €12.99 for a blush, contour and highlight!
Even when I read good reviews I always have reservations until I try the products myself so I was eager to see what the shades/powders were really like and I was pleased with how beautiful the colours and pigmentation is in person, they are all really subtle but buildable (a big plus for me, I much prefer natural shades that you can build on if you want something a bit more dramatic)
I love that the blush actually has a gorgeous shimmer, I find it makes it a little more wearable. The contour is definitely a light shade that buffs into the skin easily and can be built up to a deep contour but is subtle enough that it can be daytime appropriate. The highlight wouldn’t be my usual shade, I’m normally not a fan of gold highlighter, I prefer pink and white tones, I just think they suit my skintome more but this highlight is actually beautiful and natural!
I find myself grabbing this palette most days for quick and easy glam that covers all bases, a very subtle contour to give some definition and colour, a gorgeous shimmery blush and a natural highlight, so simple and so compact. I already know this is going to be a must in my makeup travel kit – it’s the perfect size and covers so many bases – if you know me, you know that I love a good multi-functional palette that’s easy to carry in the handbag or bring on holiday to minimise the amount of makeup I need to take!
Have you tried this trio palette? Do you love it as much as I do?
Lauren,
Xo
