Hello Readers,
As you all know, I’ve been using the Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid for the last couple of months and I recently picked up the Moisturiser because I was so impressed with the results from the Hyaluronic Acid.
I went into the Brown Thomas Beauty Lounge to get the Rosehip Oil but the lovely girl behind the counter asked what I was hoping to achieve and talked me through it and actually advised me against the Rosehip Oil, she let me test some on my hand and it was really (this probably sounds silly but I’ll explain) oily. Literally like pouring olive oil on the skin, and the girl explained that it was a very heavy oil and would actually cause your hairline to become greasy if you got this oil near it.
I love when staff actually discuss products with you and you know they’re not simply trying to make a sale so I’d definitely recommend heading in and chatting if you’re interested in any of these products, unfortunately I didn’t get her name. So, after I decided the oil wasn’t for me I asked her would she recommend anything else and she said definitely to continue with the Hyaluronic Acid, if possible to use it morning and night, and by no means did she pressure me into looking at any other product but she mentioned the Moisturiser and again let me sample it on my skin, it felt beautiful and she told me that it does replace any nutrients that the Acid might remove.
It’s a small bottle but only costs around €5 and is so nourishing, you can buy a bigger bottle for around €7/€8. I like the instant Hydration this packs in after using Hyaluronic Acid but I have found that it can dry out pretty quick so I usually pack on a nighttime Moisturiser over it before bed. It’s a decent Moisturiser and definitely recommended if you use any kinds of acids because they do drain a lot from the skin while resolving other problems you might have.
I do love this Moisturiser, so much so that I bought another bottle for holidays because I was running very low but it’s not one I’d use on it’s own every day, the odd night I’d leave it by itself and just put on a good dollop but I do mostly top up with my own Moisturiser for longer Hydration as I sleep.
Lauren,
